The Foundation

The Joan Vehí Foundation is the representation of his great project, in which Joan has dedicated himself in body and soul during the last years of his life. Fortunately, Joan Vehí was well aware of the cultural value of her photographic heritage, which includes not only photographs of the intimate lives of great artists such as Salvador Dalí but also the illustrated history of Cadaqués and its people.

Joan wanted to make sure that everyone could enjoy his collection and that it could continue to be consulted by students or historians who often appeared in his studio.

From this concern and the will and perseverance of Joan Vehí, the Foundation was born, through which the entire collection of photographs and cameras that Joan always wanted to keep together must be preserved.
